Experience in an infusion center is a must. Candidates with inpatient experience may be considered if they have prior oncology experience. The pharmacist must have intravenous preparation, including chemotherapy, IV piggyback, and packaging antineoplastic agents experience. Strong pharmacotherapy management skills for various medical problems, including gastrointestinal, hematologic, immunologic, neurologic, oncologic, and rheumatologic conditions, are required. Ability to work independently is necessary. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Experience with computerized hospital pharmacy settings is desirable. Familiarity with Pyxis and Epic is preferred. Weekend and holiday rotation is expected. The clinic is usually closed on holidays and weekends. Candidates should be open to a flexible schedule.
