Position Overview: As a Nurse Practitioner at Recovery Centers of America, you will play a vital role in patient recovery, working under the supervision of the Medical Director and Associate Medical Director. You will provide total nursing care, including diagnosing, treating, and consulting with patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. You will assess, develop care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. This role offers the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings and provides a chance to make a significant difference in the lives of those struggling with substance abuse. Key Responsibilities: Perform initial history and physical examinations and periodic medical assessments. Recommend and order medical interventions, including lab work, diagnostic studies, and medications. Document medical records accurately and in a timely manner, including admission assessments, patient progress, and discharge summaries. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, counselors, clinical dieticians, and other healthcare providers to ensure the highest quality of care. Develop, review, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and the care team. Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress, particularly in substance abuse recovery. Evaluate and assess the psychosocial and physiological health of patients, identifying and addressing potential issues. Engage patients and families in treatment planning, ensuring they are informed, involved, and committed to the recovery process. Participate in patient evaluations, scheduling necessary psychiatric assessments and supporting treatment discharge planning. Lead by example, fostering positive team dynamics and contributing to the overall success of the recovery center. Qualifications: Active State license as a Registered Nurse Practitioner Current Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP-BC, FNP-C, AGNP, AGPCNP-BC, etc.) or Physician's Assitant certification Active DEA and CDS license Current CPR or BLS certification required Minimum of 5-7 years nursing experience, with at least 5 years in substance abuse treatment preferred Knowledge of medical diagnoses, detoxification procedures, addiction diseases, co-occurring disorders, and DSM criteria Proficiency in medical documentation, critical thinking, and patient care management Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a focus on patient care and collaboration Ability to safely prescribe medications and administer them when necessary Experience with suicide ideation and aggression screening Knowledge of ASAM criteria and levels of care Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred What We Offer: Competitive compensation and benefits packages 401K and company matching Opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and families A supportive and engaging work environment with a clear vision and mission Leadership opportunities to help shape the future of the facility and the organization Ongoing professional development and continuing education Ready to Make a Difference?
