This role primarily focuses on outpatient care with occasional inpatient support, providing 45-minute appointment slots that ensure personalized, high-quality treatment and excellent patient satisfaction. Job Summary: As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will administer therapeutic modalities under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your role involves helping patients recover function and prevent disability following injury or illness, assisting them to achieve their highest possible level of performance within their capabilities. You will also contribute to departmental operations, performance improvement, and continuous quality initiatives. Essential Functions: Apply foundational knowledge of physical medicine, therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot physical therapy equipment. Deliver treatments such as exercises, massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot/cold packs, traction, and ultrasound as directed. Observe and evaluate treatment effects, communicating findings with supervising therapists. Assess patient pain and functional limitations, coordinating with physicians when necessary. Perform appropriate patient assessments and reassessments across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Document patient treatments and responses accurately. Ensure patient safety and minimize healthcare errors during all care activities. Education: Associate degree from an American Physical Therapy Association-approved program. Licensure/Certifications: Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification or licensure in the relevant state. Experience: Preferred minimum of one year in comprehensive physical therapy practice. Professional Requirements: Maintain all regulatory standards, punctuality, and adherence to organizational ethics and goals.
