Job Description In this role you will be expected to repair, troubleshoot, and minimize downtime for the equipment and supporting production, quality, safety, and business needs in jobs related to industrial maintenance. They are looking for someone who can troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to 480v and has experience or knowledge of inputs and outputs of PLC's (no programming needed). If you have experience with numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment associated with this will be highly beneficial. You will also be required to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatic, pumps, and valves, so any experience with these would be great to have but they feel they can teach a strong electrician these skills if they are willing and able to learn. They have two facilities in the area that are about 10 minutes apart and you will be required to perform your duties at both facilities, so reliable transportation is a must have for this role. They have an opening on 2nd shift which is 3 PM to 1:30 AM Monday - Thursday and one on weekend shift which is 6:30 AM to 7 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is plenty of OT on either shift, most people are getting 10 hours/week but there can be up to 20 hours if you want it. There are also shift differentials of $.75/hr on 2nd shift and $2.00/hr on weekend shift. On the job training will be on first shift until you are trained and up to speed. You will mostly be the only technician on your shift for either of these shift s being offered. Requirements • Must be highly safety conscious. • Proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas. • A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes. • Willing to work overtime as required. • High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required. • Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. • Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers). • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. • Exceptional troubleshooting skills preferred. Benefits Opening on Either 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday 3 PM to 1:30 AM ($.75/hr shift diff) or Friday, Sat, Sun 6:30 AM to 7 PM ($2.00/hr shift diff) • Works in a clean, well-lit production environment; requires protective footwear and eye wear.
