The shift will consist of three 12-hour night shifts. Nurse-to-patient ratios will be 1:5-6. Every other weekend coverage is required. The traveler will need to float within scope to meet facility needs. First-time travelers are accepted for this role. The nurse must have a valid South Carolina license or a Compact license. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory, with NIH certification preferred. Experience in telemetry is required, specifically in the areas of monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Previous charge experience and community hospital experience are preferred. Familiarity with charting systems is preferred. Candidates should be prepared for possible assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season. All time off must be communicated at the time of submission for approval. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. The facility allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks. Travelers may apply for a block schedule, but approval is not guaranteed. Candidates will not be cleared to start until the South Carolina license is active. All requirements and restrictions must be adhered to in accordance with facility guidelines.
