Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Must work one holiday and every other weekend. No on-call duty. Job Description The CVICU Registered Nurse provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, this role involves providing, delegating, supervising, and documenting patient care and education for patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential, along with participation in solution-finding for variances from patient goals to ensure implementations of solutions. ResponsibilitiesUtilize nursing processes to provide high-quality patient care. Delegate tasks and supervise staff in delivering patient care. Document care and educational activities for patients and families. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Participate in addressing variances from patient goals. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 2 years of recent CVICU experience. Current ACLS and BLS certifications. Ability to care for post-operative open heart patients. Experience with Impella and IABP is required. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. BSN preferred. Why ARMStaffing?
