Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager Job ID: 25027785 Location: Aiken, SC Relocation Assistance: Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our efforts in maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role is pivotal in planning, implementing, and sustaining safety programs that ensure the highest standards of employee well-being and environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations in collaboration with the Plant Engineer and Occupational Health Nurse (OHN). Conduct workplace hazard assessments and safety audits; recommend and implement corrective actions. Coordinate and deliver safety training for new hires and existing employees, including annual refresher courses. Analyze and report on workplace incidents, injuries, and property damage. Lead and facilitate safety committee meetings and initiatives. Develop and implement hazard control measures; evaluate their effectiveness and recommend improvements. Manage procurement and inventory of safety supplies and training materials. Maintain accurate safety records and ensure timely reporting. Investigate accidents and near-misses; promote a proactive safety culture. Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols; halt unsafe work practices immediately. Collaborate with EHS professionals across company locations. Stay current with applicable safety laws, regulations, and best practices. Demonstrate strong technical expertise and drive continuous improvement in safety processes. Address safety-related behavioral issues with professionalism and tact. Make informed decisions independently, guided by company policies and procedures. Communicate effectively and foster a culture of empowerment and accountability. Lead with integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude. Serve as a role model and team player. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. You value collaboration, transparency, and shared success. QualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in manufacturing. Relevant experience in manufacturing and safety roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general digital tools. Experience with regulatory audits. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (exposure to noise, dust, oil, etc.). Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship. Preferred: Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field. 3+ years in a manufacturing safety role or 5+ years of demonstrated safety experience. Lean manufacturing experience. Strong project management and teamwork skills. Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist).
