Responsibilities of a Sonographer Conduct various ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and abdominal imaging. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and methodologies. Required Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a similar field. A degree from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred. Certifications Necessary Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or its equivalent. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred. Essential Skills Proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with patients compassionately.
