There are no technical staff on the night shift. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1. Equipment includes vents, CRRT, A-lines, BiPAP, Flow-tracks, and IV pumps. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Care of the critically ill patient is the primary focus. Responsibilities include total patient care, turning, titrating drips, performing dressing changes, and trach care. Ideal candidates are compassionate and can work well with others. Building a good rapport with physicians is essential. Preferred experience includes CRRT and transplant care (kidney, pancreas, liver). Rotating weekends are required as part of the schedule.
