Job Description A well-established and growing food manufacturer in Southern Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on, people-focused HR Manager to lead human resources operations at a single-site manufacturing facility. This organization has been in business for over 40 years and continues to expand. They are looking for a visible HR leader who thrives on coaching supervisors, strengthening culture, and serving as a trusted partner to operations leadership. If you enjoy being on the production floor, building relationships, and making a measurable impact on retention and engagement - this role is for you. Position Overview The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources at the facility, including employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, leadership development, and workforce planning. This individual will work closely with plant leadership to support business goals while cultivating a strong, positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities • Lead employee relations, coaching, and performance management initiatives • Serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership and department managers • Guide supervisors through investigations, conflict resolution, and progressive discipline • Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning • Drive engagement, retention, and culture-building programs • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws • Manage HR reporting, documentation, and benefits coordination • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused work environment Qualifications • 3+ years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred) • Proven strength in coaching supervisors and developing frontline leadership • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance practices • Experience handling employee relations in a fast-paced environment • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred • Hands-on, visible leadership style with strong emotional intelligence --- Why This Opportunity? • Stable, growing company with long-term expansion plans • Strong leadership team and collaborative culture • Competitive compensation and benefits package • Leadership team that values partnership and collaboration If you're interested and serious, please send your confidential resume to Brittany at for immediate consideration!
