Job Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups, using both standardized evaluations and observational assessments. Craft individualized treatment strategies targeting specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives that enhance a patient's quality of life. Implement direct speech therapy modalities focused on language, articulation, fluency, resonance, and swallowing dynamics. Collaborate energetically with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caretakers to devise cohesive care protocols. Provide educational resources and strategies for families, empowering them to support their loved ones' progress outside of therapy sessions. Facilitate sporadic inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care for each patient. Maintain comprehensive documentation that adheres to all applicable guidelines, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Engage in ongoing professional development and training, keeping abreast of the latest research and advancements in speech-language pathology. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained. Certifications Required Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
