Purchasing Assistant

Key Responsibilities Assist the Purchasing team by reviewing and confirming purchase orders Process internal non-inventory purchase requisitions Expedite parts and materials as requested by Buyers Support sourcing activities by preparing quote packages and gathering required documentation (e.g., drawings, specifications) Assist with MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) purchases under Buyer direction Enter purchasing and supply chain data into internal systems and maintain accurate records and logs Generate daily and periodic reports as required Communicate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and customers in a timely and professional manner Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to orders and documentation Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in procurement or a Purchasing support role Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to manage high-volume tasks and competing priorities High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Benefits: Healthcare Insurance: Synectics offers eligible employees and their dependents healthcare coverage through BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois. Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus.
