Job Summary: Provide expert evaluation and treatment for musculoskeletal, vascular, and neurological conditions tailored to each patient's unique needs. Deliver education and preventative care to patients, their families, healthcare associates, and the broader community. Act as a vital liaison among patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and social services to ensure coordinated and compassionate physical therapy services. Essential Responsibilities: Utilize clinical expertise and sound judgment to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring high-quality treatment including evaluation, planning, implementation, and education. Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation units, mechanical traction, exercise devices, and wound care tools. Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and orthopedic equipment. Support patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, activities of daily living, and functional training. Adapt therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations to maximize treatment effectiveness. Maintain thorough documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards. Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including peer review and patient care evaluation. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a welcoming and professional environment. Supervise and mentor aides, students, and volunteers within the therapy department. Contribute to departmental education by preparing and delivering training materials on a rotating basis. Commit to ongoing professional development relevant to clinical practice and patient diagnoses. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association, or American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Completion of continuing education courses pertinent to clinical practice and professional responsibilities as required. Active involvement in professional organizations at local, state, and national levels as appropriate. Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree. Licensure and Certifications: Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the relevant state. Current CPR certification required. Work Schedule: Full-time, 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, 40 hours per week. This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
