School Bus DriverReports To: Director of Transportation and SIS Data Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week, 187 work days per year) Primary Location: Variable - Multiple Terminals About Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools (GCCS) Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools (GCCS) serves over 1,600 students in grades PreK-12 as a free, open-enrollment public charter school system. Our schools include Guadalupe Centers High School, Guadalupe Centers Middle School, and Guadalupe Centers Elementary School. Position Summary The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as to school-sponsored events and activities. This role requires a commitment to student safety, reliable performance, and professionalism in representing GCCS within the community. Essential Responsibilities Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes and schedules. Conduct daily pre- and post-trip safety inspections; report any mechanical issues. Maintain appropriate student conduct to ensure safety during transportation. Report all accidents, incidents, and concerns promptly to transportation management or appropriate authorities. Attend required training sessions, meetings, and in-service days. Complete all required documentation accurately, including inspection and trip reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Frequent overhead reaching and lifting of up to 20 lbs. Ability to sit for extended periods. Frequent standing, walking, squatting, stooping, and climbing. Ability to clear an exit door located 42 inches from the ground. Must be at least 21 years of age. Qualifications & Certifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required). Licenses/Certifications: Valid Missouri Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus and Air Brakes Endorsements. Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
