American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 5 years of experience and ARDMS, RDCS, or CCI-RCS certification for a 13-week travel assignment at an academic medical center in Ohio. Job Details • Work setting includes inpatient, ICU, ED, and outpatient cardiac echo environments with varying degrees of patient acuity, • Exams performed at the bedside (portable) as well as in a dedicated inpatient echo unit and outpatient clinic, • Patient populations include adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ED settings, • Schedule is either 4x10-hour shifts (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM) or 5x8-hour shifts (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM), • Occasional Saturday rotation (8:00 AM-1:00 PM), approximately 2-3 times per 13-week contract, • Ultrasound equipment includes Philips, GE, and Siemens platforms, • Epic EMR required, Job Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer experience, • Current BLS required; ACLS preferred, • One of the following certifications required: ARDMS, RDCS, or CCI-RCS (only one needed, not both ARDMS and CCI), • ARDMS RDCS AE preferred, • Prior travel assignment experience required, • Proficiency in Adult Echo, 2-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Portable Studies, RVIT, RVOT, and Routine studies required, • 3-D Echo, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, and Treadmill Stress Echo experience preferred, • Experience with GE, Philips, and Siemens ultrasound equipment preferred, • Ability to perform procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings preferred, • Experience with PACS preferred, • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role; no coworker references accepted, • License required if applicable, Additional Information • Perform echocardiographic studies including adult echo, stress echo, portable studies, and advanced cardiac calculations (Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, PISA), • Perform calculations and measurements supporting cardiac diagnosis across a range of acuity levels, • Position is based at an academic teaching hospital with a specialized cardiac focus, • Prior charge experience is preferred, • Candidates who are former employees must have been separated from this facility for at least 6 months to be eligible, • Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible for this travel assignment, • Ohio fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after contract signing - candidates should be aware of and prepared for the urgency of this process, • Locals are accepted for this position, • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and will be built into the contract,
