Job Details Location: Nashville, TN 37203 (on-site) Setting: LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) - long-term acute care nursing, ventilator/trach care experience valued Position Type: Travel RN contract (W2) - travel nursing job, LTAC RN Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800 - $1890 (competitive travel nursing pay) Start Date: March 2, 2026 End Date: June 1, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Day shift (3 x 12-hour shifts per week) Hours per Week: 36 Openings: 5 Job Requirements (Registered Nurse - LTAC) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - TN RN or compact RN license preferred BLS certification required prior to first shift ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY) Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience highly desired; LTAC or acute care experience preferred Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and timely/accurate nursing documentation skills Ability to supervise and delegate to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees as needed Experience with ventilator management, tracheostomy care, wound care, or complex care is a plus Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care for LTAC patients Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) with emphasis on patient and family education Manage complex, long-term acute care patients, including ventilator and trach care when applicable Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time per facility policy Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care and patient safety Initiate discharge planning from admission and educate patients and families to support safe transitions of care Delegate appropriately and provide direction/training to ancillary staff while maintaining a calm, supportive unit environment Promote a culture of safety, including safe patient handling and adherence to infection prevention practices Assume charge nurse responsibilities following orientation as requested Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study Why this travel nursing job?
