Lead / VP Python AI/ML Developer

Responsibilities Kforce's client in Columbus, OH is hiring multiple Lead/VP Python AI/ML Developer where you will play a crucial role in an Agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.Key Tasks: Provide direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level engineers working on basic to moderately complex tasks Executes solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Work in an Agile development environment with team members, including Product Owners Develop secure, high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus and actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the end-to-end development life cycle Influence peers and project decision makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies Skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python or Go Practical cloud native experience Exposure/Experience with AI developer tools & tech include code assistants (GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, Cursor), AI-powered IDEs (Cursor, Replit), specialized agents (Devin, Cline for dev workflows), and platforms for ML/NLP (Hugging Face) Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Knowledge of network engineering and firewall technology preferred The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
