Saraland, AL Order: 27173 Order Type : TempToFT Collections Specialist Location: Saraland, AL Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay: $16.34/hr Type: Temp to Perm Long's Human Resource Services is seeking a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to support a well-established company in the Saraland area. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, following up on past-due balances, and working with internal teams to resolve billing issues while maintaining positive customer relationships. Responsibilities Monitor assigned customer accounts and review aging reports to prioritize collection activity Contact customers by phone and email regarding past-due invoices Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues Apply customer payments accurately in the accounting system Coordinate with sales and internal departments to address account concerns Set up payment arrangements when appropriate Maintain detailed account notes and accurate customer records Place and release credit holds according to company guidelines Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of collections or accounts receivable experience preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally Good organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems This is a full-time opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
