HR GeneralistDepartment: Human Resources Employment Type: Full Time Location: Columbia, Missouri Description As our HR Generalist, you ensure our team is supported, and our processes are seamless. You'll be the go-to person for everything from onboarding to the intricacies of compliance. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a variety of professional HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and regulatory compliance. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and management, ensuring that HR initiatives are executed with precision and in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and legal requirements. Requirements for success as part of our team: Take ownership of the recruitment for designated roles, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews to find the right cultural fit. Coordinate a seamless onboarding process that ensures every new hire is set up for success from day one. Provide guidance and support to management and staff on employee relations matters. Conduct internal investigations as necessary and provide recommendations for resolution in accordance with company policy. Act as the gatekeeper for HRIS accuracy, ensuring all employee records are secure, compliant, and up to date. Prepare high-quality reports and essential HR documentation to keep the team informed and aligned. Assisting with engagement surveys and internal culture events. Maintain rigorous knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws. Ensure all HR practices, documentation, and reporting are in full compliance with EEO, FLSA, and OSHA standards. Ideal candidate qualities include: 3 years of progressive HR experience Proficiency in GSuite and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). You should possess the technical agility to troubleshoot office hardware and adopt new software quickly. Exceptional skills in planning, time management, and multi-tasking. You don't just juggle tasks; you prioritize them effectively to meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization. A keen eye for accuracy and the ability to make sound decisions independently while remaining a dedicated team player.
