ABOUT THE ROLE The JELD-WEN Summer Internship Program empowers talented undergraduate students to gain real-world working experience and professional development in one of our business areas. This position is focused on the Maintenance and upkeep of the facility. The internship program includes meaningful projects and challenging work assignments geared at developing professional competencies and skills in a chosen discipline. Additionally, throughout the summer internship, participants will have the opportunity for professional development, mentoring, and networking opportunities to help enhance future leadership. WHAT YOU'LL DOIn the past, our interns have had the opportunity to: Preform preventive maintenance on various production equipment to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly Develop and refine preventive maintenance procedures for the equipment Properly maintain automation equipment, and associated machinery to designed standards Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions Troubleshoot and repair defective circuitry and electronic components Install equipment to improve the operations efficiency SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCERequired Currently enrolled rising junior or senior students studying the following Trades: Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication, PLC, or similar (Eligible Grad dates: 8/2026 - 12/2027) Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation and organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and work to a high caliber while demonstrating attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Recommended Minimum GPA of 3.0 Experienced with mill, lathe, surface grinder Experienced with MIG and TIG Experienced with troubleshooting up to 480v 3ph equipment Experienced with troubleshooting control circuits Relevant internship or previous work experience Leadership experience and relationship-building skills Apply Today!
