A premier metal fabrication facility is seeking a precision-focused CNC Laser Operator to join their production team. This is a role for a reliable technician who takes pride in clean cuts and efficient workflows. If you have a background in thermal cutting (Laser or Plasma) and understand the nuances of metal processing, we want to talk to you! salary: $46,000 - $56,000 per year shift: Second work hours: 5 PM - 3:30 AM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities System Operation: Manage the setup and daily operation of high-powered CNC laser systems to process various metals. Material Handling: Safely oversee the loading of plates/sheets and the unloading of finished components. Precision Calibration: Fine-tune machine parameters (gas pressure, wattage, and travel speed) to ensure optimal edge quality across various gauges. Blueprint Literacy: Interpret technical drawings, cut lists, and fabrication schematics to ensure 100% part accuracy. Quality Control: Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify tolerances and maintain shop standards. Routine Upkeep: Perform essential machine "housekeeping," including nozzle maintenance, lens checks, and slag clearing.
