Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSolar Sales Manager / Regional Business Development Manager - Commercial & MultifamilyCompany:Our client is a well-established solar company with a fantastic reputation for excellent service on residential single and multifamily dwellings, along with commercial buildings.Opportunity:We are currently looking for a successful Commercial Solar Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to drive and manage multifamily/commercial solar projects throughout the California region. Project sizes will range in size from 20kW – 1MW, mainly in existing retrofit and some new construction. The Commercial Solar Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the projects from internal project award all the way to permission to operate.Responsibilities: Engage with customers and other relevant trade partners as the main point of contact during the projectsOwn and drive all commercial and large scale multifamily apartment projectsCreate schedules and drive project deliverablesOversee design and engineering of projects with CAD design teamManage and coordinate permits with permitting coordinator working with AHJManage utility applications with the internal teamCoordinate procurement of materials with purchasing teamCoordinate and provide direction to Superintendents and field crewsCoordinate and manage invoicingPerform estimates and budgetingAssist project management/developers with budgeting, bidding, designing, and contracting projectsSome travel is required to inspect some client locations and occasional team meetings at the office Qualifications: Must have direct solar sales experience with a minimum of 3+ years of commercial and/or multifamily solar photovoltaic (PV) experience2+ years of project management in construction operations with a solid understanding of commercial project life cyclesExperience working with Helioscope and Energy Toolbase is highly desiredMust have strong problem-solving skillsProven ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and keeping projects within budgetMust have strong organizational and record-keeping skillsHands-on experience with CRMs such as SalesForces tracking leads and sales, is preferredKnowledge of commercial and residential building codes - AHJKnowledge of multi-family PV interconnections as well as Virtual Net Energy Metering (VNEM)Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systemKnowledge of commercial solar equipment including: panels, racking, inverters, and batteriesKnowledge of all system types: tilt and flat roof mount, ground mounts, carports, ballasted, and hybrid systemsKnowledge of electrical code Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)Vacation and holiday pay Compensation:Salary 100K to 120K plus generous commission.
