Salary: $37.22 Hourly Location : Blue Bell Job Type: Regular Part-Time Job Number: 202600018 Division: Academic Affairs Department: Tutorial Services Opening Date: 01/05/2026 FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports To: Director of Academic Support Classification: FAC BASIC PURPOSE Probationary Contract Hourly Rate: $37.22 This position requires the candidate to submit the PA State Police Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Fingerprints to Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Professional Tutor provides individual and group tutoring to support students' academic progress. The Professional Tutor also serves as a liaison for Tutorial Services and the campus community as well as a mentor to Peer and Paraprofessional Tutors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide tutor assistance in subject areas in one-on-one and small group settings. Maintain scheduled working hours. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty and colleagues. Attend in-service activities to comply with certification requirements Review learning materials to be able to recommend them to students. Complete and submit all required tutor tracking documentation and time entry. Adhere to all policies detailed in the Tutor Manual. Mentor Peer and Paraprofessional Tutors, as necessary. Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSMaster's Degree in related field preferred, or a Bachelor's with specialized training as appropriate to the discipline and in consultation with a coordinator or director in the related field.
