Location : Selinsgrove, PA Job Type: Staff - Full-Time Benefits Eligible Job Number: 0000152 Division: Finance Department: Finance Office Opening Date: 02/11/2026 Closing Date: 3/13/2026 11:59 PM Eastern FLSA: Determined by Position Hours per week: 40 Number of months: 12 Job Summary The Finance and Budget Analyst reports to the Sr. Finance Manager and is a key contributor in support of Treasury Management, maintains financial reports, records, and general ledgers. This position is responsible for the accurate completion of various reconciliations and for a variety of billing activities. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under FLSA regulations. Specific Responsibilities Assists with all aspects of treasury management, endowment operations, debt, bank reconciliations, account analysis and reporting. Serves as key liaison for all internal and externally funded grants. Assists with budgeting, forecasting and analysis of operating and capital budgets. Assists with report automation and reporting of financial data, budget, and key metrics to inform senior leadership in decision making. Creates and prepares various financial reports; performs reconciliations including research and resolution of outstanding items; prepares journal entries. Assists in the preparation of year-end financial statements and work papers. Contributes to the maintenance of accurate general ledger records for the university. Aids with preparation of quarterly board meeting materials. Performs various internal controls and periodic analytical reviews. Maintains accurate reconciliation and procedure manuals. Supervise and review all miscellaneous cash deposits. Prepares aging reports and sends collection letters, as needed, for any non-student accounts receivable balances. Maintains a commitment to service excellence in all interactions on behalf of the university. Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required. Experience One to three years of progressive experience and responsibility working with GAAP and budgets in a finance or accounting role is required. Three or more years' experience preferred. Experience in higher education or other non-profit setting is preferred; however, relevant experience in other industries will be considered. Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesSolid understanding of accounting systems and processes including GAAP. Expert in Microsoft Office Suite with special emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex items in a clear and concise manner to a wide range of audiences. Possesses excellent mathematical and computational skills. Ability to manage, organize and prioritize work assignments and people including oneself to meet multiple concurrent deadlines. Analyze and interpret data to identify and solve problems using sound judgment. Embraces challenges and takes initiative to tackle new assignments with attention to continuous improvement. Ability to work independently or as part of a team within an environment of accountability and transparency to collaborate with others across the institution to solve problems to advance the university's goals and mission. Proficient in learning new software and technology tools with ease. Maintains confidentiality. Additional Information for Applicant Physical DemandMust be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Operate a computer, scanner, adding machine, copier, fax machine and printer. Must be able to appropriately communicate with faculty, staff, students, board members, auditors, and vendors.
