Responsibilities Category Management: Foster robust business partnerships to enhance sourcing's impact on overall category spend. Leverage category and market insights to develop strategic initiatives that meet savings goals. Support the creation of category strategies and manage stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles to overcome challenges. Create a framework to govern strategy, project pipeline, and performance metrics effectively. Strategic Sourcing: Drive continuous improvement to enhance team efficiency and skill levels. Offer guidance on new procurement processes and technologies to improve compliance and effectiveness. Contract Management: Provide expertise in contract lifecycle management (CLM) activities. Address compliance issues as needed through the escalation process. Supplier Relationship Management: Manage national supplier relationships to ensure effective execution of supplier relationship management activities. Lead supplier finance and discounting initiatives aimed at optimizing working capital, cash flow, and gross margins. Procurement Process: Stay informed about other internal initiatives that may influence category performance. Promote adherence to sourcing policies with internal stakeholders and teams. Talent Management: Oversee and mentor direct reports, conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback. Partner with HR for planning, recruiting, retaining, and developing team talent to ensure we have the right skills available. Ability to perform essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Retail, CPG, or related fields. 10 years of relevant experience in a pertinent category. Extensive procurement experience with demonstrated ability to develop category management strategies and utilize e-sourcing tools. A collaborative individual with a history of fostering strategic relationships across all organizational levels. Ability to influence others positively in sensitive situations while maintaining relationships. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio). Desired MBA or Master's degree. 7 years of leadership/management experience in Supply Chain or Procurement. CPM/CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent certification.
