Goodwill Central Texas is seeking a CMAA Program Instructor to lead adult learners through a dynamic, hands-on curriculum that builds the skills, confidence, and workplace readiness needed for success in medical office administration. As a key member of our Career & Technical Academy (GCTA) team, you'll do more than teach, you'll empower students to overcome barriers, achieve certification, and thrive in meaningful healthcare careers. This is a part- time position. Work hours are evenings and weekends and may change based on student enrollment needs.What You'll Do: Lead and teach adult learners in a program that covers patient scheduling, medical records management, insurance processing, and professional communication. Design and deliver instruction aligned with Texas Workforce Commission guidelines, integrating real-life scenarios to develop critical thinking and job-readiness skills. Continuously improve curriculum based on student outcomes, industry feedback, and instructional best practices. Partner with leadership to set program goals around graduation, certification, and job placement-then drive those outcomes with clear action steps. Build relationships with local employers and community partners to support clinical rotations, enrollment growth, and job placement. Maintain a supportive, professional learning environment, ensuring accountability to GCTA's schedule and code of conduct. Track and report outcomes, including attendance, certification achievement, and employment data for graduates. What You Bring: Current CMAA certification or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative role. Completion of a course in adult education or equivalent teaching experience. Ability to teach in multiple modalities (hybrid, online, and in-person). Strong critical thinking, judgment, and communication skills. Passion for helping individuals overcome barriers to employment. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer. Ability to lift and move objects up to 15 pounds. Visual acuity to handle documentation and computer work. Ability to manage moderate levels of stress in a classroom environment. Note- Teaching schedule is flexible and based on instructor availability. We are open to daytime or evening instruction.
