Job Full Description Quality Inspector Position Level: Non-Exempt Reports To: Quality Supervisor Position Summary: Inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications prior to products being released for shipment. Essential Job Functions (include but are not limited to): Performs various sorting, inspection, and data entry Reads, interprets and understands prints and specifications accurately for all product lines Inspects product equipment and production processes Participates and implements the maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality System Reads, interprets and understands location Quality Systems Performs and maintains calibration programs for equipment Documents details/circumstances involving all assigned job tasks Performs statistical process control functions such as CPk, PPAP, FMEA, and gauge R & R, as needed Demonstrates professionalism when representing the company in all communications with internal and external customers and vendors Follows all company policies and procedures Sustains housekeeping standards in accordance with location appearance guidelines Maintains location to internal safety standards and OSHA compliance Conscious consideration of the Kirby Risk organization when engaging on social media, mindful of the images and language used In addition to the Essential Functions and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for: Emulates the Kirby Risk Values & Principles in daily interactions with internal and external customers Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments while maintaining regular and timely attendance Education/Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required: High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience 1-year relevant work experience Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer contact skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent telephone etiquette Demonstrates computer skills and aptitude; Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as instructed by immediate supervisor or customer requirements and Kirby Risk Safe Workplace Comply with all company and customer OSHA, safety policies, procedures, rules, and best practices Participate in safety meetings and training Be constantly aware of personal safety and that of coworkers Ability to safely and effectively use and operate all equipment required for work Physical Requirements: Ability to push pull carry up to 50lbs Ability to differentiate color variations Ability to adjust vision focus Ability to stand and work with arms at or above shoulder height for extended periods of time Stand for extended periods of time Bend, stoop, reach and shift positions frequently Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
