Job Title: Local Contract - Interim Manager - Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Number of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 03/24/2024 Hourly pay: $129.83 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $4,673.88 JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryDepartment: EMERGENCY ROOM Shift timings: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday (4 Days/10 Hours) Per Week: 40 Hours Roles & ResponsibilitiesInterim Manager for the Emergency Department Open to extended and open to transition to perm The Manager of Emergency Department is accountable for the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care performed by nursing personnel within their assigned service setting in accordance with established goals. Responsible for unit operation, scheduling, position control, staffing and coordination of the quality improvement process. Applies advanced, broad-based knowledge of nursing practice and theory as well as, advanced knowledge of techniques of supervision, management and leadership as applied to specific nursing responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Emergency Room Manager experience. One year of Telemetry experience Graduate from a fully accredited RN program, BSN preferred Active unencumbered California RN license One year of Cerner experience Requirements • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
