Press Brake 2nd shift

MagTech is currently hiring for Brake Press Operator for a manufacturing client in the Auburn Hills, MI area. Please apply below if you are interested and meet the qualifications. Description: The Press Brake Operator will use a press brake to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates. Metals can ranges from .5" to 2" in thickness. Utilizing a 500 ton press. Responsibilities: Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates. Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules. Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available. Measures and aligns materials to be used. Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and straighten sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accurate dimensions Select and install appropriate tooling for each job Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine the correct sequence of operations Inspect finished parts for quality and make adjustments as necessary Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines Performs other related duties as assigned Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area Job Requirements: 1 year experience working with a press brake 1 year experience in manufacturing (aerospace strongly preferred but not required) Proficient and self reliant in reading and interpreting blue prints and engineering drawings. Familiarity with working with different types of sheet metal. Ability to operator safely a crane and forklift
