Click here to view our Benefits Snapshot Job Overview The estimator is responsible for understanding the project and requirements to successfully complete quotes. This position involves constant communication with the Sales, Project Management and Engineering group on both new opportunities and the follow up on past quotes. ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to) Responsible for starting quote, applying cost to quote requests for existing and potential customers and ensuring the customer's, industry and statutory expectations can be Has the authority to generate quotes electronically and make required changes to existing quotes as deemed Responsible for pricing materials and completing all essential parts of the quote to Responsible for accurately estimating work center run times by Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in an estimating or production Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and machining processes (e.g., sheet metal, structural steel). Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite and ERP systems (Syteline preferred). Familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Understanding of costing, Profit and Loss statements, and material Estimating experience in metal manufacturing is a plus Preferred Skills Critical thinking and adaptability for changing project conditions Strong math and data analysis capabilities for cost forecasting Excellent communication, team collaboration skills, and be self-motivated. Must have a high degree of accuracy Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. Travel Requirements Potential travel may be required.
