Floater Commercial Litigation Legal SecretaryLocation: New Jersey Office (On-site, Monday-Friday) Classification: Non-Exempt Salary: Market-based, OPEN (Applicants must indicate salary requirement) What You'll Do: Provide secretarial and administrative coverage for litigation attorneys and secretarial absences as needed across departments. Screen and direct incoming calls, take detailed messages, and manage attorney calendars. Prepare, revise, and format legal documents in compliance with firm standards. Assist with court filings via E-Filing systems for both Federal and State Courts. Create and edit Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents using firm-approved tools. Assist attorneys with docketing deadlines, time entry, expense reports, and document management. Manage incoming/outgoing mail and ensure proper filing of all legal documentation. Support various practice groups as needed, often at short notice. What You'll Bring: 10+ years of experience as a litigation legal secretary in a law firm environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, iManage, Kofax, Best Authority, Aderant, Litera Compare, Big Hand Dictation, and Compulaw. Strong multitasking and time management skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. High attention to detail and excellent proofreading/editing skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team player with a positive, professional attitude. Ability to work well independently and under pressure in a fast-paced legal environment. Flexibility to provide coverage across multiple attorneys, departments, or practice groups as required. A current Notary Public commission (or willingness to obtain one within 6 months of hire). High school diploma required; further education or legal training a plus.
