Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy ManagerSalary: $150,000 - $200,000 Base + Performance Bonus Location: Greater Sacramento Area (Onsite) Status: Part-Time (Launch Phase) to Full-Time Transition POSITION OVERVIEW Our client is a newly launched franchise of a national leader in home infusion and specialty pharmacy services. We are seeking a high-caliber Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to serve as the clinical and regulatory cornerstone for our Greater Sacramento operations. This is a unique "Founding" leadership role. You will be the licensed PIC of record, partnering directly with ownership to launch, scale, and lead a high-acuity infusion pharmacy. This role is perfect for a seasoned Pharmacist who is tired of the "cog-in-the-machine" corporate feel and wants the autonomy to build a culture of excellence and compliant patient care. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Regulatory Authority: Serve as the PIC of record with the California Board of Pharmacy (BOP) and DEA. You will lead all inspections, audits, and licensing initiatives to ensure 100% compliance. Operational Architecture: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for a new, scalable infusion workflow, including inventory management and sterile compounding protocols. Clinical Excellence: Oversee the safe preparation and dispensing of high-touch infusion therapies, ensuring strict adherence to USP and USP standards. Startup Leadership: Partner closely with ownership to hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing pharmacy team as the patient census grows. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Act as the primary clinical liaison for physicians, nursing teams, and payors to ensure seamless home-based care delivery. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Licensure: Active, unrestricted California Pharmacist License (Must be eligible to serve as PIC immediately). Clinical Depth: Significant experience in Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, or Hospital Infusion environments. Regulatory Mastery: Deep understanding of California-specific pharmacy law and federal regulations. Startup Mindset: Comfortable working in a growth-oriented environment where you are both the "strategist" and the "operator." Leadership: Proven ability to manage pharmacy staff and maintain audit-readiness at all times. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) or Pharmacy Manager in the state of California. Experience leading a pharmacy through successful accreditation (ACHC/URAC) or initial BOP licensure.
