Occupational Health & Safety Intern Summer 2026 Location: Holland, MI Schedule: Full Time; Monday - Friday LG Energy Solution is shaping the future of the automotive industry by leading the EV Charge and paving the path towards a more sustainable future. At LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. (LGESMI) we develop and manufacture lithium-ion batteries that power automotive technology and other energy storage systems. Job Summary: As an Environment, Health and Safety intern at LG Energy Solution, you will focus on Health & Safety and Environmental conditions within our state-of-the-art Lithium-Ion battery plant in Holland, MI. This position will be responsible for work that includes: Assist with design and implement training related to environmental topics Assist with developing work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Evaluate and create environmental incident reports Maintain an understanding of different production processes in order to facilitate training and provide continuous improvement such as waste/recycling management, storm water management and others as necessary Assist with collecting and analyze environmental data such as air emissions and waste/storm water data Conduct daily line walks to ensure S&H practices are being observed and to note any at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, faulty equipment or non-compliance with any H&S related policies/regulations Assist with cross-functional teams to drive improvements across the organization Introduce to workplace compliance evaluations in regard to local, state and federal regulations Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental & Sustainability -Junior or Senior standing Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher Skills Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to be flexible and adapt to new task and projects Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining high degree of confidentiality Our team members are leading the electric vehicle industry in a technically advanced manufacturing environment.
