Job Description

An Ultrasound Technologist role is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Science. In this position, you will be responsible for utilizing equipment that employs high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the Radiology Department and Clinic. Imaging services vary by location; therefore, performance of Sono hysterography and/or vascular ultrasound may be required depending on assigned site. The Ultrasound Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS).Location: Houston, TXJob duration: Minimum 3-month+ temp/contract roleShift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (4/10-hours shifts)Hourly pay rate: $ 55.92/hr.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Participates in Technical Quality Control measures, which include performance of routineequipment maintenance and reporting malfunctions or variances in equipment performance to the Radiology Supervisor or his/her designee in the supervisor's absence. Maintains necessary supplies and documentation of cleaning logs as applicable.Uses RIS system correctly according to Clinic and Department guidelines and properlydocuments atypical conditions, which could affect image quality and/or content. Have abilityto provide initial assessment. Understands PACS system and can identify problems withimage transmission as they occur and notify Radiology Supervisor or Department LeadTech when corrective actions are beyond the scope of the technologist.Conscious of ultrasound safety measures. Utilizes sterile technique when necessary. Complies with all safety initiatives.Participates in formal and in-service training programs, department specific in services, and any applicable site-specific training. Maintains current applicable licenses and/or certifications and complies with continuing education requirementsJob Requirements:High School Diploma or GED from accredited programHealthcare related degreeMinimum 1-year of direct clinical experience in ultrasoundPACS and RIS experienceBi-lingual or multi-lingualType of certification required:RDMS (AB) (OB) (BR) with a minimum of (2) applicable specialty registries OR RT (R) and minimum of (2) applicable specialty registries requiredBCLS requiredWhy work for Adecco?
