Purvis Gray is seeking an Audit Staff professional to join our Assurance Services team. You’ll work closely with experienced team members and be given real responsibilities from day one.What You'll Do Assist in the planning and execution of audit and assurance engagementsPerform fieldwork including substantive testing, internal control evaluations, and data analysisPrepare workpapers in accordance with firm standardsSupport the preparation of financial statements and related disclosuresParticipate in client meetings and communicate effectively with engagement teamsResearch and apply U.S. GAAP and relevant auditing standardsAddress client questions and issues with professionalism and accuracyContribute to the development of interns and collaborate across teams Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA license strongly preferred0–2 years of audit experience in public accounting or related internship(s)Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAASStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard accounting softwareAbility to travel to client sites as needed Preferred Experience Interest in serving a diverse client base including privately held companies and public sector entitiesTeam-oriented mindset and a desire to learn and grow within the professionCommitment to accuracy, efficiency, and upholding professional standards
