About the role Seeking a skilled Atlassian Developer and Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Atlassian JIRA and Confluence platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in workflow design, automation, and integration, with experience in scripting and API development. This mid-level role offers the opportunity to work on complex integrations and support government contracts, requiring a Secret clearance. Job Responsibilities Configure and administer user directories with LDAP for JIRA and Confluence authentication and authorization. Design, code, and maintain custom workflows using ScriptRunner, REST API integrations, and native Atlassian features. Develop and integrate solutions using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and Python. Administer, support, and extend JIRA and Confluence platforms with advanced workflow design. Integrate Atlassian tools with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab. Analyze and reverse engineer existing workflows to recommend improvements. Gather, analyze, and document user requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting for JIRA and Confluence. Create and maintain technical documentation for workflows, integrations, and administrative procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and tool usage. At least 3 years of proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and HTML; proficiency in Python. Experience integrating Atlassian products with LDAP for user authentication and authorization. Hands-on experience with REST API development and integrations. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitLab. Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Strong troubleshooting and reverse engineering skills for workflows and scripts. Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Must hold an active Secret security clearance. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or flexible work environment.
