Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Lead and manage the nursing staff within the surgical services department, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Ensure compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care within the surgical unit. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the surgical services department, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards for surgical services. Provide leadership and support during surgical procedures and emergencies. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in surgical care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required. Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is preferred. Why work with us?
