Field Service Engineer - Critical Power (UPS)

Field Service Engineer Atlanta, GA Salaries range from $80k-$110k plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO, and Bonus scheme. Our Client: • A leading provider of critical power solutions and UPS systems serving data centers and infrastructure across the region. Key Responsibilities: • Commission, maintain, and provide emergency support on UPS and related critical power equipment at customer sites. • Conduct design reviews, prepare commissioning test procedures, and coordinate on-site testing. • Perform preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up, and field modifications. • Attend ongoing training on various OEM units and standard operating procedures, including equipment testing and system rebuilds. • Troubleshoot equipment issues in coordination with the technical-support group. • Develop Methods of Procedures (MOPs) and consult with supervisors on unusual problems or developments. The successful candidate must have/show: • 3-5+ years' experience in the critical power industry, with the ability to troubleshoot UPS, batteries, PDUs, STS. • Hands-on experience using hand tools and test equipment. • Excellent verbal, written, and customer relation skills. • Ability to work independently and provide high-quality customer service. • Capability to work nights/weekends as needed. • Knowledge of equipment manufacturer specifications and general computer hardware/software. • UPS OEM factory training or industry experience. • Technical degree or equivalent field experience; military experience a plus.
