About the JobInpatient & Outpatient Physician Assistant / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Ortho Spine MedStar Washington Hospital Center We invite you to join a dynamic Orthopaedic Spine team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center-the region's largest and most specialized hospital. This is an exceptional opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while partnering with fellowship-trained spine surgeons who manage some of the most complex cases in the Washington, D.C. area. About the Opportunity We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to support Dr. Addisu Mesfin and the established spine team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC). The provider will also collaborate with six additional Orthopaedic APPs throughout the hospital. This role includes responsibilities across inpatient, outpatient, and OR settings: Inpatient Responsibilities Manage post-operative surgical patients Coordinate multidisciplinary care Collaborate closely with orthopedic residents Participate in daily rounds Support overall inpatient operations Outpatient Responsibilities Provide orthopedic care in both the MedStar Washington Hospital Center orthopaedic clinic and one day per week in our Wheaton, MD clinic Conduct independent orthopedic clinic visits with physician-level support available Complete administrative tasks as part of the outpatient schedule Operating Room One dedicated day per week in the OR, assisting with spine surgery cases Schedule Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week Earlier start times possible on inpatient days No evenings, nights, or weekends Who We're Looking For Experienced providers and new grads welcome to apply Orthopedic and/or spine experience strongly preferred PA or ACNP only (FNPs cannot be considered due to inpatient requirements) Why Join MedStar?
