Civil Construction Estimator duties: oExecute take-offs of construction documents. oReviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid using state and federal specifications. oObtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors for materials and labor as needed. / Prepare estimates by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred during the life cycle of a project. oDevelops and maintains company resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc. oAttend departmental meetings as required. oHelp review bidding decisions for upcoming projects. oCommunicate plans and contract terms to relevant parties. oWork with project management team to manage financial aspects of projects
