Full-Time Hybrid Eligible Summary The Community Programs Support Specialist serves as a subject matter expert and operational support for the community programs at Meals on Wheels Central Texas, including Home Delivered Meals, Congregate, PALS, HOPE, and Groceries-to-Go (GTG). This role provides integrated support to geographic-based program teams and includes direct program execution. The specialist ensures program standards, compliance, and operational excellence while actively participating in service delivery and community engagement. Key Responsibilities • Serve as a subject matter expert for Home Delivered Meals, Congregate, PALS, HOPE, and Groceries-to-Go programs. • Support geographic-based Program Coordinators by ensuring they have tools, resources, and training to operate all programs effectively. • Execute program activities directly within assigned hubs, including meal delivery, pet service coordination, and volunteer engagement. • Monitor compliance and quality standards across all programs and recommend improvements. • Collaborate with internal teams to align program operations with organizational goals and evolving community needs. • Assist in the development and dissemination of program materials, guidelines, and operational protocols. • Track and report on program performance metrics and outcomes for all service areas. • Ensure timely communication with neighbors regarding service changes, cancellations, and program updates. • Participate in organizational initiatives to enhance neighbor experience and service quality. • Collaborate with Site Coordinators and Community Program Coordinators to ensure consistent implementation of compliance protocols for all programs • Ensure ongoing compliance with funding and grant requirements, including timely reporting and documentation • Complete required shifts in meal delivery, office support, or program management as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred • Minimum 3 years of experience in community-based services • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to evolving program needs • Valid Texas Driver's License and insurable under MOWCTX policy • Commitment to the mission and values of Meals on Wheels Central Texas Workplace Environment and Physical Demands This role may work in an office, field, or service setting and requires regular use of computers and standard equipment. Physical demands include prolonged periods of sitting or standing, moving within the workspace, and occasional lifting or transporting of items up to 35-50 pounds.
