In the role of DMIR (Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative) you'll play a pivotal part on our Quality team. Inspects materials components and assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications and ensure production products and related parts conform to the approved type design and are in condition for safe operation.This position contributes to our vision by:· Must possess aeronautical knowledge and experience and be familiar with product and process related inspection activities including the use of inspection tools and data systems.· Must be able to Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as bills of material, process specification, dimensions and finish and verify products conform to the stated requirements.· Must be familiar with industry and regulatory requirements and able to interpret, understand, and apply logic ruling of product in support of the company Production Approval.· Required to have a basic understanding of contractual requirements, product and process improvement, and material traceability.· Must demonstrate proficiency with standard computing software applications.· Must have a strong understanding of AS9100 and supporting industry standards (including AS9102) as well as FAA/EASA and other air agency certification criteria.· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required and the individual must be able to work confidently and collectively with customers and suppliers to ensure success.· Must be able to reconcile multiple data sets to establish compliance and traceability of products and be able to record results accurately, legibly and in accordance with standard procedures.· Maintains part record files, MRB bond log, Serial Number logs and other documentation in accordance with standard procedures.· Performs shipping inspection, comparing product conformance, shipping documentation and certification to customer purchase order or contract.· On questionable items, reports to supervision any suspected item(s) that fail to meet customer requirement.· Maintains a clean work area, and brings any safety concerns to the attention of supervision.· Must have a strong understanding of basic shop math and ability to calculate product tolerances and deviations accurately.But what else?
