This role supports the team by preparing tools, moving vehicles or parts, keeping the work area clean, and helping with basic mechanical work under supervision.Call Ray at 269-779-0052 with questions - ALL LEVELS OF MECHANICS ARE ENCOURAGED TO INQUIRE.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist mechanics with repairs and maintenance on vehicles/equipmentHand tools and parts to mechanics during jobsPerform basic tasks such as oil changes, tire checks, fluid top-offs, and battery replacement (as trained)Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work areasHelp lift, move, and transport parts and materialsInspect parts for damage or wear and report issuesKeep records of work performed when neededFollow safety procedures and wear required protective equipmentDispose of waste (oil, filters, etc.) according to shop/environment rulesRequired Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDBasic knowledge of tools and mechanical systemsAbility to follow instructions and learn quicklyGood teamwork and communicationPhysical ability to lift heavy objects (40-75 lbs)Dependable and punctualPreferred QualificationsPrevious shop experienceAuto tech training or vocational courseworkDriver's licenseWork ConditionsWork is performed in a garage/workshop environmentExposure to noise, grease, chemicals, and outdoor weather at timesStanding, bending, lifting, and moving for long periodsWork ScheduleFull-time (overtime and weekends may be required depending on workload)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime opportunitiesHealth, dental, vision insurancePaid time off accrual and holidaysTraining and certification supportSimple IRA w 3% Company MatchCall Ray at 269-779-0052 with questions - ALL LEVELS OF MECHANICS ARE ENCOURAGED TO INQUIRE.
