Elementary Assistant Principal

The Strafford R-VI School District is seeking highly qualified, student-centered applicants for the position of Elementary Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. The Elementary Assistant Principal will assist the building principal in providing instructional leadership, supporting a positive school culture, and ensuring the effective coordination, supervision, and management of the elementary school program and daily operations. The successful candidate will maintain high expectations for both students and staff while fostering an environment focused on learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The candidate will: Assist in creating and sustaining a safe, orderly, and positive school climate conducive to learning Support and supervise instructional programs to promote high levels of student achievement Collaborate with teachers and staff to strengthen instructional practices and professional growth Assist in the supervision and evaluation of certified and classified staff in alignment with district policies Help coordinate student discipline procedures and promote restorative, student-centered practices Support the development and implementation of school improvement goals Facilitate effective communication with parents/guardians, staff, and community members Assist with scheduling, state and local assessments, and other operational responsibilities Attend and support school events, activities, and professional development opportunities Strafford Public Schools is committed to adult learning, meaningful collaboration among team members, and exceptional job satisfaction.
