Maintenance mechanic

We are looking for a heavy-hitter in the Corrugated and Packaging industry. This isn't just a general maintenance role; we need a specialist who understands the precision and power of corrugating and converting machinery. If you have a track record of keeping high-speed folders, gluers, and die-cutters running at 100% efficiency, we want you on our team. salary: $67,000 - $84,000 per year shift: First work hours: 5 AM - 1:30 PM education: High School Responsibilities Specialized Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair failures on Corrugators, Flexo Folder Gluers, and Rotary Die Cutters. Electrical Mastery: Troubleshooting 480v 3-phase motors, VFDs, and PLC logic (Allen Bradley/Siemens) specific to packaging automation. Mechanical Maintenance: Repair pneumatic tools, high-speed conveyor systems, and hydraulic units using precision-measuring instruments. Blueprints & Schematics: Work directly from complex electrical drawings and mechanical blueprints to identify and fix issues fast. Preventative Maintenance: Follow a strict PM schedule to prevent costly downtime and prepare new converting equipment for operation. Facility Oversight: Support the Ontario site with basic plumbing, masonry, and HVAC oversight as needed. Required Qualifications Corrugated Experience: 3-5 years of direct maintenance experience in a corrugated or packaging environment is required. Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of the "wet end" and "dry end" of corrugated production. Safety Mindset: Expert knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA industrial regulations. Commitment: Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift and a proven track record of reliability for Saturday Overtime.
