Job Title: MI/OT QC Engineer Location: Durham, NC Duration: 6 Months Contract Work Schedule: Onsit Job Description: Purpose of the Position: The MI/OT Engineer is responsible for the administration of MFG infrastructure networks and systems according to site quality and change control procedures. This role specifically requires the administration of VMware systems, Ethernet networks, Windows Server and Desktop operating systems, Windows Active Directory, virtual backup and restoration systems, network storage devices, Cisco switches, and imaging of thin-client terminals. The position acts as a subject matter expert for MFG infrastructure-related issues and assists in implementing technology projects to improve safety, product quality, and reduce costs. The role is also responsible for managing and revising associated lifecycle documentation and participating in commissioning and qualification activities. Primary Duties: Install, configure, and administer server, desktop, and lab instrument systems. Conduct failure investigations, implement solutions, and prepare reports on corrective and preventive actions. Execute project assignments from start to completion with minimal supervision. Contribute to the enhancement of operational performance, focusing on cost, quality, and safety. Administer VMware systems, Ethernet networks, Windows Server and Desktop operating systems, Windows Active Directory, virtual backup and restoration systems, network storage devices, Cisco switches, and thin-client terminals. Maintain QC lab systems in a compliant state. Lead small projects and make independent decisions on operational technology problems. Participate in commissioning and qualification activities. Analyze computerized systems performance data to identify trends. Review and revise Quality and Engineering documents for MFG systems. Be available for non-standard work hours as needed (e.g., system crashes, upgrades, validations, maintenance). Knowledge, Experience & Skills: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience designing and administering computer systems and infrastructure. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with VMware VSphere. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems. Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Active Directory, including Group Policies. Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Cisco switch programming. Additional requirements: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience designing and administering computer systems and infrastructure. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Active Directory, including Group Policies. Minimum of 2 years Cisco networking. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with VMware VSphere (preferred). Experience working with integrators/outside contractors (preferred). Knowledge of cGMP, validation, and FDA industry experience (preferred). Strong ability to work in a team environment and independently. Effective oral and written communication skills.
