Position: Construction Project Manager We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in managing medium-scale wastewater treatment and pump station construction projects. The ideal candidate must bring recent construction-company experience, advanced scheduling proficiency, and a solid engineering foundation. Position Overview The Construction Project Manager will oversee all phases of assigned projects ranging from $5M to $25M , ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all specifications. This role requires hands-on project execution, strong scheduling capability, and proven experience working for a construction contractor on water/wastewater infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of construction projects including wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related heavy civil work. Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software . Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and clients to ensure project alignment and timely execution. Lead project planning including scope development, cost controls, risk management, and procurement. Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements, change orders, budgets, and project documentation. Conduct regular progress meetings, generate status reports, and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control procedures, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Monitor job cost reports, track production rates, and implement corrective measures when necessary. Provide daily onsite leadership and maintain strong communication with field staff and subcontractors. Qualifications Required: Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience with a construction company (contractor side). Proven experience managing $5M-$25M water/wastewater treatment plant or pump station construction projects . Proficiency in Primavera P6 or comparable scheduling software. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Construction Engineering preferred). Strong understanding of construction methodologies, heavy civil operations, and utility infrastructure. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex project timelines. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and construction management tools. Preferred: Experience with design-build or CMAR delivery methods. OSHA certification or strong safety program knowledge. Experience with cost controls, self-perform work, and production tracking.
