Windows Systems Administrator (Onsite) Location: Romulus, MI Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday (5 days per week) Employment Type: Long-Term Contract-to-Hire Work Authorization: No OPT/CPT/F1 Preference: Strong preference for Michigan-based candidates Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise compute, storage, and desktop environments. This role supports a wide range of technologies including Office 365, Azure, VMware, Windows Server, SAN/NAS, backup solutions, and endpoint security. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support complex systems in a 24x7x365 enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Implement and support IT projects in alignment with technology services objectives. Administer and maintain enterprise system architecture solutions. Provide 24x7x365 support for enterprise hardware, software, and infrastructure as needed. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation. Prepare and deliver performance reports and growth planning metrics. Establish and perform regular preventive maintenance activities. Provide technical support, guidance, and mentorship to staff and contractors. Work onsite daily (Monday-Friday). Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR High school diploma plus 4+ years of hands-on experience in an enterprise environment with the technologies listed in the Minimum Qualifications. Minimum Qualifications 1. 4+ years' experience managing, deploying, configuring, administering, securing, and troubleshooting: Microsoft Server & Services Windows Server 2019/2022 Windows SQL Server Windows Desktop OS Microsoft 365 Microsoft Defender Microsoft Management Tools Active Directory Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Microsoft Intune Microsoft Azure Azure AD Azure CLI Azure Governance Enterprise Hardware (Dell) PowerEdge MX740C, R660, R760 Compellent SC200 StreamVault SVS-7020E, SV-7040EX VxRail E5 VMware ESX vCenter vSphere 2. 3+ years' experience with: Pure Storage FlashArray (X20R3, C50R4), Pure1, ActiveCluster Veeam Enterprise Backup & Recovery File & Print Services Rack & Stack / Data Center Installation 3. 2+ years' experience designing integrated solutions across server, storage, backup, management, and security environments (virtual and physical). 4. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift up to 30 lbs.
