Payroll Specialist - Temp

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base pay rate of $28.00 to $35.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried construction employees, including union and non-union workers. Ensure accurate calculation of timecards, prevailing wages, and job costing allocations. Utilize the Vista payroll system to enter and reconcile payroll data. Collaborate with HR, accounting, and project managers to ensure payroll accuracy across job sites. Maintain payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including certified payroll requirements. Requirements: 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry. Possess proficiency and hands-on experience with Vista by Viewpoint. Understand construction payroll practices, including Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage compliance. Exhibit high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion. Qualifications: Bring a solid background in payroll processing within a construction environment. Showcase familiarity with union and non-union payroll complexities. Apply knowledge of certified payroll reporting and compliance standards.
