Fleet Mechanic

Interstate Towing is seeking an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our growing fleet of light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty towing and recovery vehicles. This is a full-time position for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and road-ready. Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tow trucks, tractors, trailers, and support vehicles Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air system issues Service diesel and gasoline engines Perform brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs Conduct DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs when needed Maintain accurate service and repair records Keep shop and work areas clean and safe Requirements: 2+ years of experience as a fleet, diesel, or heavy-duty mechanic preferred Experience working on heavy-duty trucks or towing equipment a plus Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Knowledge of DOT regulations and inspections Ability to work independently and manage workload Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus) Schedule: Full-time Day shift (with occasional on-call or overtime as needed) Pay & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime available Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match
